Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Waurek online store and any purchase you make through it. By browsing this website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

1. Your Account

• You must provide accurate, complete and current information when creating an account or checking out as a guest.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• New accounts require email verification before you can sign in.
• We may suspend or close any account that is used for fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity.

2. Products, Pricing & Availability

• All prices are shown in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Product images are for illustration. Actual colours, finishing and sizing may vary slightly due to photography, screen settings and manufacturing batches.
• Stock is limited. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will notify you and arrange a replacement or a refund of the amount paid for that item.
• We may correct pricing or description errors at any time, including after an order has been placed. If a correction affects your order, we will contact you before proceeding.

3. Orders & Payment

• Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only once we verify your payment and confirm the order.
• Payment is made by scanning the QR code shown at checkout and uploading a clear screenshot or photo of your payment receipt as proof of payment.
• Your order stays in Pending status until our team verifies that the receipt matches your order number and total amount.
• Orders with a receipt that is unclear, altered, of the wrong amount, or that cannot be verified may be rejected and cancelled.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where there is suspected fraud, a pricing error, or stock is unavailable.

4. Delivery & Collection

• Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your delivery state and order weight.
• Estimated delivery times are indicative only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by couriers, weather, customs or public holidays are outside our control.
• You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. We are not liable for orders lost due to an incorrect address supplied by you.
• For self-collection orders, you must present the collection code sent to you. Please do not share this code with anyone other than our collection staff.
• Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or collection.

5. Returns & Refunds

This does not affect your statutory rights. We will replace or refund an item where:

• the item delivered is faulty or damaged on arrival; or
• we sent you the wrong item or wrong variant; or
• the item is materially different from its description.

To make a claim, contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number and clear photographs of the item and its packaging. Approved claims will be replaced where stock allows, or refunded to the original payment method. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other applicable Malaysian law.

6. Order Cancellation

• You may request cancellation from your account while the order is still Pending, Confirmed or Preparing.
• Cancellation requests are reviewed by our team and are not automatically approved.
• Once an order is packed, dispatched, ready for collection or completed, it can no longer be cancelled.
• Where an approved cancellation involves a refund, the amount is returned to the original payment method. Processing by your bank or e-wallet may take 5–10 business days.

7. Promotions & Discount Codes

• Promotional codes are valid only for the stated period, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Unless stated otherwise, only one code may be used per order and codes cannot be combined with other offers.
• We may withdraw or vary a promotion at any time, and may void discounts obtained through misuse.

8. Acceptable Use

When using this website you agree not to:

• submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, including falsified payment receipts;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or part of the website;
• copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content, images or product listings without written permission; or
• use the website in any way that breaches applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the Waurek name, logo, designs, graphics, product images and text — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Please review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account details — your name, email address, phone number and password (always stored encrypted, never in plain text).
• Order details — delivery address, recipient name and phone, order contents, order history and any notes you provide.
• Payment proof — the receipt image you upload so we can verify your payment. We do not collect or store your card numbers, CVV, banking passwords or e-wallet credentials.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and basic usage data, used for security and fraud prevention.
• Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a shopping-cart cookie that remembers your cart for up to 30 days so it is not lost if you close your browser.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process, verify, pack and deliver your orders.
• To send you transactional updates — email verification, password resets, order confirmation and order status notifications (including optional Telegram updates if you connect Telegram).
• To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Data Sharing — We Do Not Sell Your Data

We share the minimum information necessary, and only with:

• Delivery partners — your name, address and phone number, so your parcel can be delivered.
• Service providers that operate this store on our behalf, such as our email provider, messaging (Telegram) and hosting provider. They may process data only on our instructions.
• Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

4. Data Retention

We keep order records, including payment proofs, for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Account data is kept while your account remains active. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

5. Security

• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard one-way encryption — nobody, including our staff, can read your password.
• Access to order and customer data is restricted to authorised administrators.
• Uploaded payment proofs are stored in a non-public location and used only for payment verification.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Under the PDPA you may:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or out of date;
• ask us to delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law; and
• withdraw consent to optional communications at any time.

7. Third-Party Sign-In and Links

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your basic profile information (name, email address and profile picture) to create or match your account — we never receive your Google password. This website may also link to third-party sites, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

8. Children

This store is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated revision date on this page.
